As well as producing large volumes of portal plugs, Cox tools and slings, our business also packages, sterilizes and distributes the products, free of charge.

The Cox Tool and Portal Plugs are packaged and then sterilized with Ethylene Oxide. This gives the product a shelf-life of five years! The products are doubled packaged in easy-to-open sterilization reel, as shown below. Double-packaging was requested by one of the hospitals to maintain superior levels of hygiene. The reason for this double packaging is due to the fact that when one handles the item, the outer packaging becomes non-sterilized as it comes into contact with hands or the box. The package peels open easily, revealing a sterilized product in sterilization reel. This can then be handled by the nurse who, in turn, gives the product to the doctor.

It is then put in boxes (as shown below) and delivered to the hospitals. Deliveries can be made from  9am – 4pm,  from  Mondays – Saturdays and Specific Medical Solutions offers a same day service  if the order is placed before 14h00.
